Business Matching Event Held at KX Center in Bangkok With 5 Shimane Companies and 45 Thai Companies

The Overseas Expansion Support Office, Shimane Brand Promotion Division, Shimane Prefectural Government held a business matching event with the KX Center of the King Mongkut's University of Technology, Thailand. The event took place in January 2025 under the theme of MADE IN SHIMANE: Environmentally Friendly Technologies, Services, and Products.
Five companies from Shimane participated in the event. These companies are involved in water treatment equipment, composting equipment, a kiln for carbonizing organic matter into charcoal powder, a portable Japanese garden, and environmentally friendly bedding.
The venue featured exhibition booths showcasing company products as well as presentations by company representatives for Thai attendees.
The event attracted representatives from 45 Thai companies and resulted in 19 one-on-one business meetings.

About the KX Center at King Mongkut's University of Technology, Thailand

King Mongkut's University of Technology is one of the top three engineering universities in Thailand. Named after King Rama IV (King Mongkut), the "Father of Thai Science," the university was established in 1960 and focuses on IT, biotechnology, and environmental fields.
The KX Center, a university affiliated institution, supports public-private-academic collaboration and has assisted more than 3,000 small- and medium-sized companies since establishment.
The Shimane Prefectural Department of Commerce, Industry and Labor works to support Shimane-based companies expanding into Thailand and ASEAN. As part of these efforts, the department signed a partnership agreement with the KX Center in 2021 and matches businesses through the center.
